NTUP Podcast: Second episode
New installment of our podcast of interviews with teachers
The writer Clive Staples Lewis said that the task of the modern educator was not to cut down jungles, but to irrigate deserts.
We don’t have a plan (NTUP)
is the Promaestro Foundation’s podcast for those who water deserts: we explore the real stories of real teachers, with their hopes, doubts, challenges and triumphs. Through a series of interviews, Jorge Úbeda brings you closer to the daily life of teachers who collaborate, care and create knowledge. Reflect with us on education policy and learn first-hand about the situation of teachers in our country. Remember: We don’t have a plan… The plan is the teachers!
Episode 02: Isabel Barandiarán and safety at school
In this episode of the podcast We Don’t Have a Plan, Jorge Úbeda asks what’s wrong with using a positive image, such as that of an amusement park, to talk about school. Do we prefer to talk about the school as if it were a prison or an office? Our schools should be fun and safe, yes, like amusement parks. She then talks about security, confidence and care with Isabel Barandiarán, a secondary school philosophy and adult education teacher who works at a high school in Lanzarote. Finally, Karen Pérez Rubio presents Educo’ s report on the figure of the Welfare Coordinator and asks Paula San Pedro, author of the report, what has gone wrong in its implementation.
